Caramelized apple rings


  • a large tart apple, cored and
  • sliced 1/2 inch thick
  • two tablespoons of butter or oleo
  • 1/4 cup packaged refined sugar


in a skillet, cook the apples in the butter until tender. Sprinkle chestnut sugar. Cook until the apples are golden and caramelized, about five minutes.
